We love Yamada Kazu here at the gallery; his innovative take on Mino wares and his unique firing for Iga are refreshing in the way of Okabe Mineo. We recently selected 17 new works by Yamada and here are the only two vases; a truly unique eared Oribe one and a take on classical Iga eared vases, both exceptional in their animated forms and both stand alone as sculpture; one flower though....The Oribe is 28cm.tall, in perfect condition with a signed box, and is 220,000 yen--Under Consideration.
