Hagi Tokkuri (Sold) and Guinomi by Sakata DeikaXIII
Here are two classic Sakata Deika XIII(b.1915) sake vessels in tokkuri-flask and guinomi-sake cup forms that will gradually change with use as particular to Hagi. Sakata's works are very famous for his soft glazes and solid craftsman-Tea forms. The tokkuri has a soft pleasing rounded beige form while the guinomi is more lighter tone with a fine crawling kodai-foot. Both in perfect condition with signed boxes; the tokkuri is 13cm.tallx9.3 and is sold while the guinomi is 5.5cm.tallx7.5 and priced at 48,000 yen (less if set taken), both stamped Deika on base. Sakata became the 13th generation master of his kiln in 1950 and has had an extraordinary career.
