These beautifully executed antique dog prints are from the "Illustrated Book of the Dog" by Vero Shaw. This volume was an extensive treatise on dog breeds, kennels and kenneling, general management of dogs, exhibiting, buying and selling, and canine medicine and surgery.

Large 4to., 11" x 9 1/4" overall measurement, chromolithograph, lower edge slightly uneven from disbinding, a few faint foxing marks otherwise excellent condition, London, c. 1880.
