This charming gold-filled lavalier is an eye-catcher when worn. The stone is amethyst-colored glass. The lavalier is not marked, but the 20" gold-filled chain bears the maker's mark for Bates & Bacon. The lavalier is 1 1/8 X 3/4", not including the fresh-water pearl dropper.

This pin is a gorgeous Egyptian Revival design rendered in gilded silver and plique a jour. The brooch is a bird with beautiful wings of yellow-green plique shading to burnt orange. Wing tops are opaque enamel in the yellow green. The pin is centered with a matching stone which is to date unidentified [not peridot, not glass]. The pin is 2" across and is circa 1880.

Here is a must-have piece for the collector of plique a jour, angels, or cherubs. The brooch is 900 silver with subtly graded mauve plique in the wings. It is 1 3/4" by 1" and the plique is in very good shape. The piece is marked 900 silver and Déposé.

A trio of iris blossoms ornaments this gorgeous sterling Art Nouveau purse. It is 4 1/2" x 7" and is marked 925, sterling, pat Feb. 18, 1902. It also has a star punch, which was a trademark of James E. Blake, one of the pioneer silversmiths of Attleboro and may indicate that it was made by that company.
