A very rare miniature huanghuali table with a multi-colored upper marble panel set within a huanghuali frame ending in inverted flanges.The frame is set on an carved apron. The legs are framed with a pierced panel containing a cloud collar.

A unique piece of zitan wood used as a sample for the scholar's woodworker. This piece is unusual as it shows a very light color of the zitan wood which is probably close to the bark area. There are two holes drilled in the piece for attaching a string for hanging. This piece weighs 550 grams. This is a great item for the zitan collector. Size: L.17.3cm. W.10.3cm. H.2.4cm. A very large natural wood and carved scroll pot that has used the natural contours of the wood with some carvings to finish it. Scroll pots are not as common as brush pots.

A unusual and natural brush pot made from a large root with an unusual boot like opening. The wood appears to be "huali". Size: H.24cm. W.19cm. Condition: Very good. No repairs.
A well carved and painted wooden Ming statue of a female deity. She is in a sitting position holding something in her hands and wearing a hat that looks like some strange animal. Size: H. 32cm. Base width. 13.5cm x 8cm. Condition: No repairs. Natural ageing and losses of the original paint.
A rare wooden Buddha in a seated position on a lotus pedestal. The face is serenely contemplative and the robe is carved to show the gathered folds. Wooden Buddhas from this period are very difficult to find. This Buddha has a natural, calming presence.
A very unusual round Ming huanghuali box with a lid. The lid's center has a burl wood center of huanghuali. It is very rare to see burl wood huanghuali in huanghuali pieces. This is the only one I have ever seen.

Condition: One old small repair (see photo), a natural age crack on one side (see photo) and a small chip at the bottom rim.
A huanghuali wood chest with original brass hardware. Over a two-part round lockplate is a cloud-shaped hasp with a cross design in the center. The four corners on top also have cloud-shaped protective/decorative brass. Period: 17th Century Size: Height = 13.3cm, Length = 37.2 cm, Depth = 20.3 cm. Condition: Normal wear. The top has some minor age cracks(see photo).
