A necklace delicately strung with very small ancient lapis lazuli beads (approximately 24 beads to an inch). There are 12 gold coins with images of 6 ancient kings - six on each side. There are 2 kings that we recognize - one is Vasudeva I, the other is "Ohsho" holding an elephant goad, thunderbolts, a trident and a goat. The center bead is a oblong fluted gold bead. Two ancient bronze "coins" shaped like small bowed knives. Both have encrustation on the bronze of varied coloration including that of a a blue-green malachite color. Period: Shang Dynasty (1600-1028 BC) Sizes: One is 14.5 cm long. The other is 17.7 cm long. Condition: The coins have natural wear and small chips to their rims and encrustation due to age. Nice patina. Would make an interesting addition to any coin collection.
