A very large translucent cylindrical agate bead with multi natural stripes at the center. The gold caps (of the period) are decorated with spiral and eye-shaped filigree work. The rest of the necklace is comprised of ancient agate beads, gold square-shaped beads and ochre-colored glass beads (all of the period)
A nice stylized carnelian turtle. Hole running through the sides at the front bottom base. Pyu turtles are a sign of longevity nd are worn with the head facing upwards. Size: L. 3 cm. W. 2.2cm.

A very rare carnelian Chung dZi bead with 5 white stripes against a black background. This long central bead is flanked by ancient gold beads(6), round pumtek beads (4) and natural striped agate cylinder beads (2).
A nice bird pendant carved from striped agate of a bird from the Pyu period. The bird was carved to utilize the stripes to give a feeling of feathers. A very rare carved necklace of agates,crystal and various other stones of elephants, tigers and conch shells, all having a religious meaning from a mixture of Hinduism and early Buddhism. Age: 100 to 500 AD. Size: L. 36.5cm. Condition: All in good condition.
Two well carved Pyu stone elephants. These are a type of micro carvings that the Pyu period is noted for. There are holes drilled in both of the elephants for stringing.

They include a very long 16-striped etched carnelian, an oval carnelian etched with a stag and a carnelian tigertooth bead with a zig-zag pattern. These beads are flanked with smaller etched carnelians, etched agates and gold spacers (also of the period).
A very old naturally banded agate bead.Found in Southeast Asia, but probably made in India or Central Asia. A hole carved through the center. These beads were considered "magical" in ancient and in present times. Age: 500 to 1000 BC. Size: L.3.5cm. Diameter: 1cm. Condition: Small ancient chips at both ends probably done at the time of carving.
