Magnificent Satsuma earthenware square bowl with pastel flowers on the interior and the exterior with rich gold work on a cobalt blue ground and in excellent condition.
There once was a mark on the bottom, now the written gilt characters are not visible anymore!!
Satsuma vase, the squat bulbous body decorated with intersecting panels enclosing various scenes of fighting samurai and ladies at leisure in a garden all reserved on a cobalt ground with stylished rich gold floral designs in low relief.
This piece is of sublime quality and one of the unsigned forms.
Satsuma bowl painted with a mountain river landscape with buildings and water-wheel with wisteria and song bird on the interior, more wisteria on the exterior and on the bottom the Shimazu circular family crest above name.

Outstanding nice earthenware large figure of a Satsuma soldier. The bundle of arrows on his back, one hand raised, his suit richly decorated in colored enamels and gilding.
Marked on the bottom, hardly to see what it says, thought it was Kinkozan.
