This very rare Roman Antefix (border roof tile) was collected in the 40's in the Mediterranean area. It has been authenticated by a Professor of Archeology at the University of Miami. It is guaranteed to be authentic and as described. It measures 9.12 inches tall by 6.63 inches wide and is 1.6 inches thick at its thickest point. A beautiful handpainted and decorated six lobed bowl with an impressed signature on the underside. The bowl measures 10.0 inches in diameter and is 2.25 inches deep. The center panel depicts a group of Elders and Children in a wooded setting near a lake. The surrounding lobes are intrically painted with beautifully interwoven designs in gold and accented with groups of small flowers done in shades of celedon, black and white.
