This is an early Satsuma Ginger Jar. It appears that some of the gold gilt may have been restored. It is still a finely decorated J Jar. The jar measures 5.0" in height and is 3.5" in diameter.

This Rare example of a Tang Dynasty Straw Glazed Vase stands a full 11.00 inches in height and is 7.0 inches in diameter at its widest. Four Lugs are geometrically arranged to allow hanging of the Vase. There are some normal losses to the Straw Glaze. This is a wounderfully detailed figure of a Tang Dynasty Court Lady. This is another piece from the small collection purchased by me a few years back. The pictures show the excellent condition of the painted features. Tomb pottery is rarely found in this pristine condition. The figure measures 11.25 inches in height, 3.0 inches in width and is 2.12 inches in depth.

Dish with straight sides and with an incised floral decoration under a Qingbai glaze. The Dish has an unglazed rim which may at one time been covered with a silver. There is a small hairline that runs from the rim to the base (approx 1.0")The dish is 5.25 inches and 1.12 inches in height. It is a Northern Song piece dating 960-1127.Frame six shows a similar dish from a shipwreck salvage, offered for sale by an expert in this field.

This is an excellent example of an early Chinese Jar from Circa 1000 AD. The Jar measures 4.0 inches in diameter and is 3.5 inches in height. It is dated to the Song Dynasty. The lip of the Jar has a thick rounded lip with the glaze continuing down the sides of the jar about half way to the foot and ending in an irregular pattern of pooling. This is an excellent example of an early Chinese Jar from circa 1000 A D. The jar measures 3.75 inches in height and is 3.75 inches in diameter at the waist. The Jar is dated to the early Song Dynasty. The Jar has a thick rounded lip with the thick heavy glaze continuing towards the base,stopping with a thick pooling of the glaze in an irregular pattern. This is a fine example of the outstanding work of the famous Satsuma Artist Kinkozan. The body of the Teapot is a rich Cobalt blue with artistic detail expected in a Kinkozan piece. The top is an excellent fit but likely not original. The impressed Mark is well defined and makes this a truly desirable piece for any Satsuma collector.The Teapot is in excellent condition with the exception of some expected gilt loss from a piece of this age.

This is a Ming Dynasty blue and white Kraak Charger. This Charger was salvaged from a Shipwreck and recently sold at a major west coast auction house. The charger measures 10.5 inches in diameter and is 1.75 inches tall. The glaze is still in good condition with some loss in the luster. This large and thickly potted charger that dates to the Ming Dynasty. The decoration of Bats and the Kangi character denote good luck in the Chinese culture. The Charger measures 11.0" in diameter, 1.88" in height, and weighs a full 2 pounds and 10 ounces.
