This is a heavely potted Ming dynasty incised Dragon bowl. The bowl is 11.0" in diameter and stands 2.5" tall. The bowl weighs a hefty four pounds and six ounces. The Bowl has a large Dragon incised at its center with leaves around the exterior perimeter . The Bowl has a minimum of firing flaws for a piece of this age and size. This Beautiful and Rare Vase dates to the Chein Lung period of the Qing Dynasty. It has been in my collection for over twenty years and has never before been offered for sale. I purchased this Vase in a small Asian Shop in Ohio. It was being sold on consignment for a local lady who had spent a number of years in China. This is a very Rare Early Han Dynasty proto-porcelain bowl stand or "Gui". In over twenty years of collecting, this is the only one that I have seen.I do know of one example of a gray pottery Gui dated to the Warring States Period in one of my early reference books. This is a beautiful Chinese Meiping style blue and white Vase that dates to the Kangi period (1662-1722) There are no repairs or damage to the piece. This is a Rare and unusual Northern Song Tea Bowl. The bowl measures 4.13 inches in diameter and is 1.38 inches in height. There are no chips or repairs. The celadon glaze stops short of the top lip.The glaze runs to the underside of the lip but stops well short of the bottom foot. There is a fine "crackle" in the glaze on both surfaces. The unglazed foot does show evidence of the pieces long burial.
This is a Celadon dish that measures 6.25 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches in height. The dish has a thick glaze the pools at both the top and bottom rim. There is some minor glaze wear at the inside center surface which would indicate functional use at some point.
This is a beautiful and well potted Song Bowl. The Bowl has the ring of a highly fired porcelaine bowl. It measures a full 6.8 inches in diameter and stands 2.63 inches in height. The glaze runs to to the foot. There is also a thick glaze that pools at the rim.
This is an excellent example of a classic Ming bowl. A silver rim has been added at some point to cover small chips that have occured over time.
