This is an extremely well decorated Satsuma Censor designed and executed by Senzan. The scene is of a long procession of several dozen members. A beautiful handpainted and decorated six lobed bowl with an embossed signature on the underside. The bowl measures 10.0 inches in diameter and is 2.25 inches deep. The center panel depicts a group of Elders and Children in a wooded setting near a lake. The surrounding lobes are intrically painted with beautifully interwoven designs in gold and accented with groups of small flowers done in shades of celedon, black and white.
