This is a finely detailed ivory Netsuke of a Man with a Bat on his shoulder. The Netsuke measures 1.5"x1.5"x1.25". The signature appears to be Masatomo. This is one of six that I am selling whic were a part of my collection of over 100 pieces.
This is a finely carved elephant ivory Japanese Netsuke. The netsuke measures 1.5"x1.25"x1.0". This and the other Netsuke on my site are all that remain of my collection of over one hundred Netsuke. Most were purchased from a dealer/friend who had collected them over a fifty year period. The signature of the artist appears to be Tomoichi.
This is a fine antique elephant ivory netsuke of a man. The Netsuke measures 1.75"x1.5"x1.0". The signature appears to be Shoichi. The level of detail is excellent.
The is a fine old ivory Netsuke carving of a Drummer. There is an age crack in the ivory but it appears to have in the original piece of ivory and the artist "worked around it" The Netsuke measures 2.0"x1.5"x1.0". The Artists signature appears to be Yuki....?
This is an old elephant ivory Netsuke. The ivory has a beautiful natural patina. A gold bail has been made for the Netsuke at some point in its history. The Netsuke measures 2.0"x1.12"x.63". I believe the artists signature translates a Gyokutomo
This Song Tea bowl has a thick creamy glaze that pools around the top rim and stops short short of the foot on the underside. The underglaze is a rich celadon which results in the warm creamy appearance.The Bowl measures 4.87 inches in diameter and is 1.5 inches in height.
This is a Rare and unusual Northern Song Tea Bowl. The bowl measures 4.13 inches in diameter and is 1.38 inches in height. There are no chips or repairs. The celadon glaze stops short of the top lip.The glaze runs to the underside of the lip but stops well short of the bottom foot. There is a fine "crackle" in the glaze on both surfaces. The unglazed foot does show evidence of the pieces long burial.
This is a Celadon dish that measures 6.25 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches in height. The dish has a thick glaze the pools at both the top and bottom rim. There is some minor glaze wear at the inside center surface which would indicate functional use at some point.
This is a beautiful and well potted Song Bowl. The Bowl has the ring of a highly fired porcelaine bowl. It measures a full 6.8 inches in diameter and stands 2.63 inches in height. The glaze runs to to the foot. There is also a thick glaze that pools at the rim.
