This set of 10 porcelain tea cups and saucers was produced in England by Aynsley in the 1960s. They are signed by the artist Doris Jones. The saucers have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 1/4 inches high not counting the handles. They are made of fine, white bone china. They are decorated with a fruit design known as "Orchard Gold." It is a transfer design that is painted over by hand in vivid colors. The interiors of the cups and the wells in the saucers are heavily gilded. The handles and rims are also trimmed with gold.
Condition: There is a minute amount of scuffing on the gilding in the wells of the saucers. It is barely visible and we consider these cups and saucers to be in excellent condition.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the late 1950s. It has the name of the artist, F. Heidenreich, impressed in the base. The group measures 5 1/2 inches high, 7 1/2 inches long and 6 inches deep. It is a depiction of a pair of frisky Borzoi dogs. The dogs are modeled delicately, with fine detail. Their faces are beautiful. There are many slender limbs, so it must have been difficult to keep the porcelain from failing as it was being made. The dogs are hand painted realistically.
Condition: Excellent. There are no defects or repairs.

This set of 12 porcelain dinner plates was produced in the U.S. by Lenox between 1906 and 1930. They have a diameter of 10 1/2 inches. These plates have a slight indentation beginning 1 3/4 inches from the rim to keep juices from running off. There are two borders of heavy encrusted gold. They are embossed with ornate, scrolled designs. In between these gold borders is a panel of decoration containing reserves of raised enameled flowers. The reserves alternate with baskets of raised enameled fruit. The enameling has a jewel-like effect. There is a transfer design of fancy scrolls filling in the background of this border. With all of this attention to detail, this set must have been quite expensive to produce.
Condition: Excellent. They were used gently and not abused. The gilding and enamel beading are all intact. You may find slight surface wear on a couple of the plates, but no deep cuts or wear to the gilding.

This pair of crystal decanters was produced in Czechoslovakia. They have a strong art deco style and are probably from the 1930s or 1940s. One of the decanters still has a paper label from the New York importer, Irving Rice. They measure 11 1/4 inches high with the stopper. These decanters are made of lead crystal and are quite heavy. The stoppers have molded profiles of Bacchus in high relief that are frosted. They resemble work done by Lalique. The decanters are clear with elegant, simplistic form. The edges are all beveled, reflecting light as a prism would.
Condition: There are a few scratches on the bottoms of the decanters. They are otherwise in excellent condition.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Austria by Augarten in 1949. It is signed "Robert Ullman, Vienna, 1949." This is a very substantial porcelain group measuring 13 1/2 inches high, 11 1/2 inches long and 9 1/2 inches wide. The quality of the modeling is extraordinary. The composition displays an intricate balance between the man and the bull. There is intensity in the body of the matador and unbridled strength in the body of the bull. The matador’s costume has exquisite detail and delicacy. The artist has accomplished a work in blanc de chine that stimulates the senses without the use of color.

This glass vase was produced in France in the 1920s. We attribute it to Daum Lorrain for its color and style. It is not signed. The vase is 12 3/4 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 5 3/4 inches. It is blown into a mold producing its art deco form. The base is thick and quite heavy. The vase draws gracefully upward from this point with the glass thinning significantly. The colors within the glass are iron red and mauve. They form a pattern with a marble like texture. The colors lighten into orange and peach as they flow to the top of the vase. The finish on the vase is smooth as satin. This changes to a light texture on the surface of the flared bowl.
Condition: Excellent. We guarantee that this is an original, old art glass vase. To really enjoy its qualities this vase needs light coming through it.

This porcelain and metal dresser box was produced in France by Tharaud Limoges before 1930. It has a double mark which signifies that the porcelain and the decoration were done in the factory. The box has a gilded metal frame and foot. We don't know what the metal is. It measures 5 1/4 inches across and 3 1/2 inches high. The decoration on the lid is bold and striking in the art deco manner. The stylized flowers and abstract lines melt and flow into each other. You can feel the enamel layers with your fingers.
Condition: Excellent.
