| This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 5/8 inches high. The porcelain is fine, white bone china. There are molded decorations in the porcelain to create dimension to the decorations. The handle on the cup is ring style. The ground color is subtle beige. Areas of the cup and saucer are left pure white for decoration purposes. Within the white areas, profuse and colorful swags of flowers are hand painted in miniature. These are surrounded by intricate hand gilded cartouches. There is a fancy gilded medallion in the well of the saucer. This coffee cup and saucer is a little work of art. Condition: Excellent | ||
