C. Curry Bohm, Spring Mountain Landscape
Regional Impressionist Claude Curry Bohm 1894 - 1971, Spring Mountain Landscape, oil on board, 12" by 16", oil on board, signed lower left, 17 3/8" by 21 1/4" housed in period gilded, painted, carved frame, no apparent restoration. Artist studied Art Institute of Chicago, National Academy of Design, and with Edward F. Timmons. Charter member of Brown County Art Gallery Association and Brown County Art Guild. Made first visit to Brown County 1920 and returned yearly to paint until 1932 when he made Nashville his permanent home. Exhibited Art Institute of Chicago, Hoosier Salon, North Shore Art Association, Palette and Chisel Club (Chicago), and Rockport Art Association.
