| American Impressionist John Johnston Inglis 1867 - 1946, Finger Lakes Village, oil on canvas, 18" by 24 1/8", signed lower left, 24 3/8" by 30 3/8" housed in original carved 22K regilded frame, small patch upper left, no apparent restorations to face. Artist studied Dublin Academy, Academy Colarossi with Courtois and Collin, Ecole des Beaux-Arts with Gerome. Settled in Rochester, New York. On faculty of Rochester Institute of Technology; on Board of Directors of Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester. Member of Rochester Art Club (President 1925-26); Royal Hibernian Academy of the Arts, Dublin; Geneseeans. Exhibited Royal Academy, Scottish Academy, Paris Salon. | ||
