| Painter, illustrator, teacher, writer Clifford McCormick Ulp 1885 - 1957, Winter Morning, oil on canvas, 25" by 30 1/8", signed lower left, 35 1/8" by 40 1/8" housed in high quality gilded, carved reproduction frame, no apparent restorations. Artist studied Art Students League of New York, Rochester Institute of Technology. Teachers included Charles Woodbury, Emile Gruppe, William Merritt Chase, F.W. Taylor. Acted as Director of Art and Design Department of Rochester Institute of Technology 1921-1952, and as President Rochester Art Club 1920's and 1930's. Exhibited Rochester Art Club, Rationalists, Genesee Group, Finger Lakes Exhibition Memorial Art Gallery. Also member Iroquois Art Association, Eastern Art Association. | ||
