| Impressionist Carl Martin Raschen 1882 - 1962, Melting Snow 1939, oil on board, 11 7/8" by 16", signed lower right, titled and dated February 10, 1939 verso, 18 3/8" by 22 3/8" housed in contemporary Hackman metal leaf frame, no apparent restorations. Artist worked primarily as a painter and illustrator in New York State and St. Louis, Missouri. Studied at the Rochester Athenaeum and was a member of the Rochester Art Club, Rochester Picture Painter's Club, Woodstock Art Association, and St. Louis Brush and Pencil Club. | ||
