| Elizabeth Honor Dolan 1871 - 1848, Nebraska Landscape, oil on canvas, signed lower right, 10" by 12", framed 15 1/2" by 17 1/2" in high quality silver leaf carved reproduction frame, no restorations. Initially acquired as loose canvas behind glass, was lined to stretched canvas for stability. Born 1871 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Studied Art Institute of Chicago. Attended Art Students League in New York, Fontainebleau School of Art, and Academie Julian in Paris with M. Paul Baudoir and received a diploma in fresco painting. Settled in Lincoln, Nebraska, devoting much of her career to mural painting. Exhibited Art Institute of Chicago, National Arts Club, Paris Salon, Salons of America. | ||
