| Over the Goldfish Pond 1918 by Mary Hackney Wicker 1868 - 1942, oil on canvas mounted to masonite, 13 3/4" by 10 3/4", signed and dated lower left, 19 5/8" by 16 1/4" framed in period/?original gilt and painted frame, no apparent restorations other than 1/8" diameter touch in lower center. Artist studied Art Institute of Chicago, enrolled in Academie Julian in Paris in 1906. While in Europe studied under Claudio Castellucho and Frank Bragwyn; in the United States, under Charles Hawthorne, Hovsep Pushman, Leon Gaspard, Robert Henri, and George Elmer Browne. Exhibited Art Institute of Chicago, Allied Artists of America, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and National Academy of Design. | ||
