A larger version of this composition with similar palette is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art NYC. Artist studied National Academy of Design. Director of Yale University of Fine Arts 1869 - 1913. Member of Brooklyn Art Association, National Academy of Design, New Haven Paint and Clay Club.
