For over sixty years Delfino and Timoteo (who has passed away) have produced beautiful religious figures covered with the "siemprevive" flower, or the everlasting flower.

Their tools are rudimentary, scissors, knives, tweezers, pencils and fine brushes. The two brothers grow their own plants that produce the immortal flower, in white and other colors.

Their work is highly prized at patronal fiestas in their village community of San Antonino, where they have contributed greatly in the preservation and success of these events. On these occasions they make elaborate banners known as "Estandartes". These banners are of saints and virgins and are carried in processions. These events can honor parton saints and the Eucharist and are most important during Holy week.

Delfino is considered a great master of Mexican folk art and is currently exhibiting at the Fresno Metropolitan Museum of Art. This Bamamex exhibition features more than 600 master works from all 31 states of the Mexican Republic, this exhibition offers a comprehensive view of the most exceptional contemporary folk art of Mexico.
