Gorgeous and skillful unsigned Japanese Kaga bronze vase with gold, silver and copper(shibuichi)inlay. The design of Sakura(Japanese cherry), young pine tree, peony, the old couple and the pattern of auspicious design. The handle is dragon shape. Overall condition is in very good, some wear by due to age on the base. One part of face of women has a repair part by gold inlay work. Inside has rust by old age, but this vase has fine patina. There is a certain charm. It comes with fit box. Dating from Meiji period, early 20th century. Measurements about: 13cm Mouth Diameter, 17cm Body Diameter, 35cm Height. |
