He is a great Japanese-style painter.
His teacher is Mizuno Toshikata.
He learned historical painting from the teacher.
This Japanese paintings scroll title is "Kannon-bosatsu".
Signed artist name and sealed on the top and backside of the lid of Tomobako.
He acts also as a teacher in the art school in India and he copied the Ajanta mural painting.
He is called the Kanpo of a Buddhist painting.
From Showa 15, he acted as the chief painter of mural painting copy project of the Horyuji Temple main hall of a Buddhist temple.
The condition is excellent. No mark and no stain.
Dating from Taisho period, beginning of 20th century.
It comes with original wooden kiri-box, Tomobako.
