An Inlaid Lacquered Wood Box and Cover

Unsigned Japanese lacquered wood box is decorated in Ajiro design.
Dating from late Meiji period or early Taisho period.

The cover inset with a shibuichi panel decorated in "iroe takazogan"(colored rise inlay) and "katagiri bori"(one side cut carving)with a crane in a river, Ume and pine tree.
All the sides with a basketwork(Ajiro)ground.
It is made of thin strips of cryptomeria with diamond shaped pattern.
The liner is done in black lacquered.

It has minor part of the repaired on the rim of the box due to the age.
Overall condition is in wonderful.
