Wajima lacquer artist "Kumano Ippo" work. This piece is one of the most excellent Wajima lacquered furniture in Japan. It is an article of the finest quality without an equal also in the handicraft of existing Wajima-nuri. He is a famous artist of the Wajima-nuri for manufacturing only the work of the cultural-assets class. Very beautiful black lacquered display shelf is called "Chigai-dana" in Japan. It is decorated in gold makie with the beautiful scenery of autumn and winter in Japan on the shiny roiro(deep black) lacquer ground as like a mirror. The design of mountain,clouds,Japanese crane,a pair of deer,autumn flower and mandarin duck. Signed artist name on the lower left. This item is real Wajima, and best quality pieces. The condition is in excellent. No chip,no crack and no repaired. Very very minor wear by age on the corner of the inside. The interior of inside has beautiful nashiji work(gold makie). The real piece is more beautiful than the enlargement photo. Measurements about : 112cm(44.1")Width, 39.5cm(15.5")Length, 115.5cm(45.4")Tall. |
