The backs of the faces are stamped “830” for the silver content and have an unidentified maker’s mark “FS”.Origin: Scandinavia, probably Norway, ca. 1930. Condition: excellent. Size: 17/32” x 17/32”. A nice pair of Art Deco sterling silver double-faced cufflinks decorated with translucent enamels. The square faces have canted corners and are finished with a design of circular dove gray enamel surrounded by a border of dark green. The silver surface under the gray enamel is worked in hammered pattern that shows through the enamel, while the green area is worked in a foliate pattern. The choice of color and contrasting engraved patterns is unusual and very attractive. The backs are marked “Sterling”.Origin: America, ca. 1920. Condition: excellent, no enamel damage. Size: 1/2" x 1/2”.

A very nice pair of Art Nouveau sterling silver cufflinks by Unger Bros. Each of the oval faces features a stylized design reminiscent of pine needles swirling around a central boss. The design shows a clear trend toward a more geometric style that eventually grew into Art Deco, rather than the swirling, feminine lines of classic Art Nouveau. The faces are connected by oval links. The backs are stamped with Unger's hallmark.Origin: America, ca. 1910. Condition: excellent, all original, sharp detail. Size: 13/16" x 17/32". Weight: 11.0 grams.
