A beautiful sterling silver compact, the hinged top decorated with a royal blue guilloche enamel octagonal plaque centering a sterling silver basket appliqué set with marcasites. The engine-turned engraving under the translucent enamel is in a basket-weave pattern that nicely ties in with the silver basket appliqué. The edge of the plaque is finished with a narrow foliate border, while the sides and bottom of the compact are decorated with engine-turned engraving. The interior is gilt and has a mirror inside the lid. The inside retains an old powder insert, as well. The insert can be removed so the compact can be used as a pill box. The inside is stamped with London hallmarks for 1926-27. Condition: excellent, no dings, no enamel damage. Size: 1-1/2” diameter; 3/4" tall.

A terrific heavy sterling silver pendant or charm, the front decorated with the image of a French bulldog worked in champlevé enamel. The dog is very detailed and has a delightful expression. The pendant is marked “Sterling” on the back. Origin: America, ca. 1920. Condition: enamel is excellent, silver has some surface wear, no monogram. Size: 1” diameter. Weight: 16.0 grams.
