Exquisite and very rare pair of Art Deco earrings in 14K white gold. The earrings feature 16mm lapis lazuli cabochons suspended from platinum-topped palmette-shaped surmounts set with brilliant- and single-cut diamonds. A magnificent early Victorian locket of carved elephant ivory. The carving is of such a level that the French city of Dieppe, renowned since the middle ages as a center of ivory carving, is the most likely origin. The workmanship is so perfect that when the cover is closed, the viewer cannot see that the piece is a locket. A very fine Victorian 18K yellow gold perfume flask or vinaigrette intended to be worn as a pendant. The container is in a slightly heart-shaped flask form with a hinged cap.
