A very pretty Fedoskino lacquered papier-mache box, the hinged lid decorated with a realistic-style lake scene complet with typical birch trees found in near the Baltic coast of Russia. The scene is very finely painted. The lower corners are signed by an artist unknown to us and date "'74". Origin: Russia. Condition: excellent; a small flake in the center of the bottom edge of the lid and light wear on edges. Size: 5-1/4" x 3-1/2" x 1-3/4". |
