A nice tiger claw set in a Victorian 18K yellow gold pendant mounting. The setting is beautifully engraved in a paisley motif. Tiger claw jewelry became very popular after Queen Victoria's coronation as Empress of India. Hunters kept the claws as souvenirs of the hunt and had them set into jewelry for loved ones at home in England and America. The mounting is marked 18K. Origin: America, ca. 1870. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1-1/4" x 1-1/4". NOTE: This item cannot be shipped outside the U.S. |
