Extremely elegant pair of earrings worked in 14K white gold and set with brilliant- and single-cut diamonds and brilliant-cut blue sapphires in a starburst pattern. The earrings are sizeable, but the design has a very light effect. The gemstones are of very fine quality. The diamonds are estimated at H color and VS1 clarity. The sapphires have very fine cornflower blue color and intense saturation. The earrings were originally clip-backs, but have had 14K gold posts added. The posts could easily be removed to return the earrings to clips. Tested and guaranteed 14K gold. Origin: America, ca. 1950. Condition: excellent. Size: 1" diameter. Weight: 8.0 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: diamond, .6 carat; sapphire, 3.2 carats. |
