This beautiful argenta platter measures 11 3/4" (30cm) by 11 5/8" (29.5 cm). On the underside is painted in silver the old Gustavsberg anchor insignia, Argenta, Gustavsberg, 1196 II, Made in Sweden, and the initials BS. The silver is intact and thickly applied. The lion itself is surrounded by four crowns. Mint condition.
This stunning vase by Berndt Friberg for Gustavsberg measures 4" (10cm) tall and is 3" (8cm) in diameter. On the underside is incised Friberg, the Gustavsberg hand insignia, and the letter d. The extraordinary haresfur glaze is a complex of tan and browns. This vase was created in 1962.
This unique drawing is by Wilhelm KÅGE for his celebrated series of Argenta objects produced by Gustavsberg. It is dated October 1954. This particular mermaid has been featured on diverse argenta pieces. Excellent condition.
An exceptional example of Wilhelm Kåge's Argenta series for Gustavsberg. It measures 9 1/4" (23.5 cm) in height and is 6 1/2" (16.5cm) in diameter. On the underside of this four footed urn is painted in silver Gustavsberg, Made in Sweden, the model number, the old Gustavsberg anchor insignia, and the letter Z, which dates this piece to 1956. The original mermaid design for this piece was created in 1954 (see SC96X in this inventory). Excellent condition.
This Surrea vase by Wilhelm Kåge for Gustavsberg measures 9" (23cm) high, and 5 1/2" (14cm) in diameter. This piece, stamped surrea, was created on January 12, 1957. What makes this piece unique is that the date of its making is indicated on the understand. Excellent condition.
This superb vase by Francesca Lindh for Arabia measures 8 1/2" (21.5cm) tall. On the underside of the foot is incised the artists's initials and Arabia. The glaze is a complex of rusts, oranges, greens and blues. Mint condition, which must be seen to be truly appreciated.
