Bernard De Hoog, Dutch, 1867-1943. This oil on canvas is a lovely example of De Hoog's genre scenes with Mother and Children. It is 23"W by 29"H and is framed in a very beautiful, original frame with overall dimensions of 31.5" by 37.5". It is signed and is not lined. It is one of the loveliest De Hoog's I have seen. It has a small amount of in painting not visible to the naked eye. De Hoog was well regarded for his genre paintings of everyday scenes in the family life, especially interior, maternity, and children. He is listed in Benezit and Davenport and his paintings sell for up to $60,000.

Charles Sillem Lidderdale, British, 1831-1895. This beautiful portrait is a fine example of one of the premier pre-raphaelite painters in the 19th C. It is a portrait of a beautiful young woman going to market with a basket of doves to sell. It is 24 1/8" by 34 2/8" in an original 3" 19th C frame. It is signed lower left with a monogram. This may very well have been a collaboration with Sir John Millais. The face is extremely beautiful. His paintings sell for up to $60,000 and are highly sought after.

Hans Zatzka, Vienna, Austrian, 1859-1945. This lovely painting is a very finely detailed example of Zatzka's portraits of beautiful young women in allegorical romantic landscape settings. It is oil on wood panel, 10"W by 20"H, signed lower right in a lovely newer frame 22"W by 27"H. He attended the Acadamie des Beaux Arts in Vienna from 1877-1892. He was a fairly prolific painter of genre and allegorical scenes with figures of beautiful women as well as religious subjects in his murals in churches in Vienna, Mayerling,Olmutz and Innsbruck. He is considered an orientalist and classic painter. He is listed in Benezit with extensive auction records up to $120,000.
