Edna Hibel, American, 1917-2001. This painting is a museum quality Hibel with perfect provenance. It is 26" by 42" in a 4" 20th C frame. The colors are exquisite and the painting has the feeling of a Renaissance Maiden in it's lush, delicate beauty. It was acquired directly from Edna Hibel by a close friend of hers. It was then bought from this estate and went directly into the collection of Jimmy Robinson, noted song writer from Palm Beach, Florida.
In a gallery this would bring up to $50,000.

Western Mountainous Landscape" watercolour and pastel on paper. Bears the signature "Sydney Laurence" and dated "1897" lower right. 33" X 24". A gorgeous piece with incredible detail! In perfect condition with original frame. Sydney Laurence (1865-1940) is an American artist from Alaska with listings from $1000 to $63000. References include Dawdy, Fieldings, Mallett, Whos, etc. Can be found in Davenport under Lawrence, but is listed as signing his paintings as Sydney Laurence. Franklin and James Review lists the sale of a 9" X 6" watercolour and gouache of Mt McKinley, Alaska in 1996 for $2000.
