Jacques Emile Blanche, French, 1861-1942. This jewel like painting of a lovely young woman. It is oil on board signed lower right, J E Blanche and is housed in a 19th C frame. It is 9 3/8"H by 6 7/8"W in a beautiful 4 1/8" period frame for overall dimensions of 17 5/8"H by 15 1/8"W. The painting is in good condition and the frame has minor losses has been repainted with the underlying gold leaf visible. Blanche's paintings sell for up to $665,000.

Bernard De Hoog, Dutch, 1867-1943. This oil on canvas is a lovely example of De Hoog's genre scenes with Mother and Children. It is 16" by 19 3/4" and is framed in a very beautiful, original frame with overall dimensions of 23.5" by 27.5". It is signed lower left and is not lined. It is one of the prettiest De Hoog's I have seen. It has a small amount of in painting not visible to the naked eye. He is listed in Benezit and Davenport and his paintings sell for up to $30,000.

Frank Godwin, Riverside, Connecticut, 1889-1959. This oil on canvas is 18"H by 24"W and is signed clearly lower right. It is of a peasant plowing with a team of oxen in front of a thatched cottage. The brush work is impressionist/pointalist and quite lovely. Godwin is known as a painter, illustrator, etcher, muralist and cartoonist who studied with Flagg. It is oil on canvas in the original gold frame and is signed clearly lower right. It is about 37.5" H by 52" W and framed is about 45.5"H by 60" H. It is in good condition and was probably painted between 1920-1940. He is listed in Davenport and artnet and is known for landscapes similar to this one.
