James Wilson Carmichael, (attributed to), British, 1789-1868. Carmichael was a very prolific artist known for Seascapes with Ships. This charming painting is 14 1/4" by 24 1/4" in a stunning 19th C frame, 21 3/4" by 30 3/4". It is signed J W Carmichael lower left and has original gallery stickers and information on the back. His paintings sell for up to $165,000.

Richard Henry Nibbs, British 1816-1893. This wonderful example of Nibbs work is oil on canvas. It is 24" by 36" and framed it is 36" by 48". It is in the original beautiful 6" gold leaf frame and is signed lightly lower left. He is known for from 1841-1889. Coast, Ships, Fishermen, Landscapes, Holland, Harbors. He showed at the Royal British Academy and his work is in the Le Cap Museum. He is listed in Benezit and Davenport and has extensive auction records in the USA and Europe up to $45,000.

Charles Brooking, 1723-1759, English. This oil on panel is a fine example of the early work of Charles Brooking, known as one of the finest British Maritime painters. It is 13" by 19" in a handsome newer
frame (overall dimensions of 16 3/4" by 22 2/4".) The condition is good and it is signed indistinctly (as many of his paintings are) on the piece of wood floating in the lower front of the painting. He is listed in Benezit and his paintings sell for up to $400,000.
