Olof (Olaf) Jernberg, German, 1855-1935. This lovely impressionist landscape of a shepherd and his flock at a river's edge
with trees in peak autumn colors is a reproduction with actual oil over the reproduction on board, 27.5" H x 23" W in the original lovely arts crafts gold frame (overall dimensions 35 1/8" by 30 6/8". It is signed lower right and is in excellent condition as it was under glass. Jernberg was born in Dusseldorf, Germany and studied in Paris. He received medals in London in 1878 & 79 and in Munich in 1891. He was also a professor at the Academy of Beaux Art in Munich. He is known for Landscapes, Portraits, Villages, Farms, Rivers. He is listed in Benezit and his work is in museums in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Kaliningrad, Konigsberg and Munich. His original paintings sell for up to $20,000.

Franz Von Defregger, German, 1835-1921. This painting is a charming example of the German genre scenes by Defregger. It is 8" by 10" in a 19th C 4" Frame. Overall dimensions are 16" by 20". It is signed lower right. It is typical of his smaller works on panel in that it is a combination of oil plus egg tempera (on the figures and their faces)on wood panel. The panel is in very good condition with no cracks. Defregger's auction records go up to $368,000 for larger paintings. Small paintings on wood panel go up to $183,902 and also have gone in the $24,000 - $26,000 range. He is listed in Benezit.

Johann Meyer Von Bremen, German, 1813-1886. Von Bremen was an artist who specialized in small portraits of children. This painting is 8.5" by 10.75", oil on copper, signed verso Johann Meyer Von Bremen with title "Der
Schutzengel". It is in perfect condition, in an 5" ornate period frame which perfectly enhances the painting. The painting is a very fine example of his work with great attention to exquisite detail. Von Bremen's small paintings go at auction for $36,000 to $48,000.
