Horatio McCulloch, Scottish, 1895-1867. It is a landscape of a forest with figures and a castle in the background. Approximate image is 20" by 23 1/4", with frame 26" by 29 1/4",signed lower right. It has had restorations and been mounted to board with moderate craquelure throughtout as well as minor inpaint in trees and sky. His paintings sell at auction up to $400,000.

This beautiful, detailed landscape is painted in crisp detail. It is oil on wood panel with a Marshall Fields Gallery Sticker on the back. It is approximately 8" by 14", with frame 13 1/4" by 19 1/4".
It is housed in th beautiful original 19th C frame. It is signed lower left and in good condition with minor paint crackle. He sells at auctions for up to $60,000.
