| Isaac Van Oosten, Flemish, 1613-1661,Attribution. Stunning Flemish/Dutch, 16-17th C. Oil on copper. This piece is in excellent condition. The in-frame dimensions are 38" W x 30" H while the painting itself measures 28 1/4" W x 20 1/4" H. The amazing frame is from the 19th Century and showcases the beauty of the piece. The subject matter is Venus (in her Half Shell chariot pulled by doves) finding Adonis dead after the hunt she begged him not to go on. | ||
