| Hubert Robert, Attribution, French, 1733-1808 or possibly unknown Italian Artist, 18th C. This oil on canvas is signed Hubert Robert verso on the bottom of the 18th C stretcher. It is 29" by 23" and has an older lining (19th C). The stretchers are consistent with the 18th C. Robert was known for a variety of subject matter, mainly landscapes,sometimes nocturnal and often with architecture. His paintings can sell over $1,000,000. | ||
