| Charles Sillem Lidderdale, British, 1831-1895. This beautiful portrait is a fine example of one of the premier pre-raphaelite painters in the 19th C. It is a portrait of a beautiful young woman going to market with a basket of doves to sell. It is 24 1/8" by 34 2/8" in an original 3" 19th C frame. It is signed lower left with a monogram. This may very well have been a collaboration with Sir John Millais. The face is extremely beautiful. His paintings sell for up to $60,000 and are highly sought after. | ||
