Elegant and playful Ando cloisonne flower vase. Many people say Ando cloisonne but if it is real and older Ando it will have the famed four leaf cross in the middle of the base and if it is 'shinjippo' newer cloisonne it will have the Ando cross on the silver rim on the bottom. This vase is Taisho Period c.1912-1926. Beautiful silver wire nuanced rendering of chrysanthemums, daisy and various leaves and flowers. Highly detailed and patterned background with bamboo plant and leaves subtly in the background. Comes in paulownia wood box. Ask for shipping quote. About 8" tall and about 7 1/2 " wide.

Excellent depiction of Ebisu, one of the seven lucky gods of Japan in bronze. Early Showa Period, C.1930, the detail and expression is fabulous. Written on his back is "Shin Chiku Oiwai" meaning this bronze sculpture was commissioned as a new house celebration gift. The names of the presenters are also written. Ebisu is holding a fish in one had and a bamboo fishing pole in the other. He is the patron of fisherman as well as the Shinto god of businessman. Shrines to him abound all over Japan. He stands on a bronze rock. Standing about 37cm and about 24cm wide. Ask for shipping quote.
