Very charming two compartment bamboo tea ceremony utensil carrying basket, c.1915. Used for moon viewing and cherry blossom excursions where the tea ceremony was performed and the tea utensils could be fashionably carried. Beautiful weft diagonal weaves with lovely knot work on the handle. There is one shallow compartment on top and both top and bottom insides have silk cloth lining, albeit shredding a bit. Very rare sake kanban shop sign framed and behind glass. This shop sign is for the sake brand "HAKU SHIKA" white deer sake from the famous sake brewery "Kuromatsu". Fabulous and rare Showa Period c.1940 fisherman's tackle box full of hand painted wood lures with bronze hooks. The lures were used for squid and painted to mimic the colors of the squid.
