A masterpiece Kato Usuke antique Japanese oribe vase, c.1930. Employing a `seidoyu` dark green glaze, it is a type of oribe pottery produced in Gifu Prefecture only, (north of Kyoto) since the early 17th century. The signed original box reads, "Usuke", "Seidoyu" and "Kabin" flower vase. Stunning. c.1930. (10" x 7½") (25cm x 19cm). EMS Shipping/Insurance to USA or Western Europe $100.

From the master of the Koishihara ceramic style, Fumao Ota, has created scintillating textures on this art deco sake bottle 'Tokkuri'. Koishihara Yaki (ceramics) comes from Ota's kiln in Fukuoka prefecture in Kyushu, Japan's southern island. The rich brown and undulating scales is a masterpiece of ceramics. c.1930. Yamagami Chikuou was born in Showa 4 (1930) and won numerous prizes for his original works of art including the first prize at the Japanese Classic Art Expo and also many awards in Kutani ceramic competitions. Just lovely antique Japanese Taisho Period c.1925 bronze flower vase with cranes under a moon in superb raised relief. Hotsuma Katori was born Meiji Period c.1874 and died in 1954. He was a graduate of the prestigious Tokyo Art School in 1891 winning honors as the top student and artist. He won the silver prize In the 1900 Paris World Expo.
