| Elegant Taisho Period C.1920 red negoro lacquered table with copper metal fittings. Very good condition. The negoro lacquer technique was developed by zen monks at Negoro-ji Temple in Wakayama in the Edo period to support the temple. It is many layers of lacquer burnished to achive a special red patina.
