| Japanese character from a famous story of a Kyoto merchant's son, Fukusuke, who had an oversized head. The mechant's family treated him with much love and soon their business prospered. Other neighbors and merchants noticed and a custom grew where businesses put a likeness of Fukusuke in their establishments for prosperity. c.1930. (13½" x 13½" x 8½") (34cm x 34cm x 22cm).
