Famous Antique Amamiya 'suzuri' Ink Stone c.1900
Most of the great antique Japanese ink stones for "shodo" or the way of calligraphy, were made from Amamiya stone in the Edo and Meiji Periods (18th and 19th centuries) in Gifu Prefecture the ancient fuedal domain known as Owari. This suzuri ink stone comes with 2 engraved ink sticks. c.1900. (10" x 7½") (25cm x 18cm). EMS Shipping/Insurance to USA or Western Europe $75.
