Stunning Pair Maki-e Lacquered Sake Pourers c.1890
Beautiful pair of antique Japanese iron sake pourers with lacquered maki-e wood tops with copper handles. The tops are adorned with gold lacquered cranes flying amongst buddhist clouds in raised relief using a technique known as maki-e. The actual kettles are of the finest iron and have raised chrysanthemums throughout. c.1890. (7" x 7") (18cm x 18cm). EMS Shipping/Insurance to USA or Western Europe $75.
